Serves 4


Ingredients:

½ cup green beans, washed & drained
salt to taste
2 pandan leaves, tied in a knot
1 cup (250ml) thick coconut milk
½ cup (110g) palm sugar, melted & strained


Method:

  1. Boil green beans in some water till tender. Reserve ½ cup (120ml) of the liquid.
  2. In a pan, combine green beans, reserved liquid, salt and pandan leaves. Simmer till fragrant.
  3. Add coconut milk and melted sugar. Bring to the boil, stirring. Remove from heat.
  4. Discard pandan leaves. Serve warm or cold.
