Ingredients:

6-8 green chillies, to be used whole
4 tbsp besan (chick pea flour)
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp cumin powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
salt to taste
about ⅓ cup water
oil for deep frying


Method:

  • In a bowl, put besan, spice powders and salt. Mix. Add water, a little at a time. Stir to blend then beat till smooth. Consistency of batter should be neither too thick nor too thin. Adjust water quantity accordingly.
  • Heat oil. Dip chilli in batter shaking off excess and fry in hot oil. When brown, remove and drain on absorbent paper.
