Ingredients:
Apple filling:
800g apples
100g sugar
100g butter
1 tsp cinnamon powder
Pastry:
150g icing sugar
180g margarine
½ egg
2 tsp custard powder
300g plain flour
Method:
- Apple filling: Chop apples finely. Boil with sugar, butter and cinnamon powder. Stir till apple filling is sofe and thickened.
- Pastry: Beaicing sugar, margarine, egg and custard powder together in mixer till all sugar has dissolved. Add plain flour and mix well to form dough. Remove.
- Divide dough into balls. Press 1 ball of dough into small tart mould. Pour in apple filling and cover with 1 flattened ball of dough. Brush surface with beaten egg. Bake for 25 minutes.
