Ingredients:

600g cockles or clams, scrub thoroughly
2 tsp dried silver fish
½ tsp black peppercorns, grind fine
5 shallots, grind fine
salt to taste
1 small (450g) unripe papaya, peel and cut into slices
2½ cups water


Method:

Put all the above ingredients in a pot. Bring to the boil. Boil for about 5 minutes before removing from heat.
