Ingredients:

600g prawns, peel and devein
1 tbsp tamarind, mix with 4 tbsp water and strain to get juice
½ cup water
1 tbsp sugar
salt to taste
6 tbsp oil

grind to a fine paste:
25 dried chillies, soak beforehand
1 pc (2x2x1cm) dried shrimp paste
2 medium sized onions
1 clove garlic


Method:

Heat oil, add ground ingredients and fry till fragrant. Add sugar and salt, stir, add tamarind juice and water, then continue cooking till gravy is fairly thick. Add prawns and stir.
