Ingredients:
1 cup green bean, clean, remove stones, wash and drain
5 cups water
1 tsp turmeric powder
salt to taste
5 tbsp oil
Ingredients for frying:
1 clove garlic, chop
2cm thick piece of ginger, chop
grind fine in liquidiser:
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 2 green chillies
- 2 cloves garlic
add to ground mixture:
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp chilli powder
2 tomatoes, chop
4 sprigs coriander leaves, chop
Method:
- Put beans in pot with water, turmeric powder and salt and boil till soft.
- Heat oil, add chopped ginger-garlic. Fry till brown. Add ground ingredients and fry till fragrant. Add this to boiling beans (oil included) when beans are almost soft. Continue boiling for another 10 minutes. Add chopped tomato and coriander leaves. Boil for 2-3 minutes more.
