Ingredients:

Any medium to large sized fish (mullet, bream, snapper, etc)
Rectangular piece of banana leaves large enough to wrap fish


Method:

  • Clean the fish, make 2 diagonal cuts on each side and rub with salt. Wrap each fish in a banana leaf and grill under a gas or electric griller. Alternatively, cook over an open fire.
  • Serve with Sambal Asam.
